The Stone Bridge is one of Zaragoza's historical symbols and one of the most emblematic crossings over the Ebro River. Built in the 15th century, it replaced older medieval bridges and served for centuries as the main thoroughfare between the two banks of the city.
...Also known as the Bridge of Lions , due to the sculptures that have flanked it since 1991, it offers one of the most iconic views of the urban skyline, with the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar as a backdrop.
Besides its historical and architectural value, the bridge is today an essential place to stroll, contemplate the Ebro landscape and enjoy one of the most photographed sights in Zaragoza.
