Located on the banks of the Ebro River, its imposing silhouette with towers and ceramic domes has become the city's most recognizable image.

The current church, in the Baroque style, began construction in the 17th century, although tradition places the apparition of Our Lady of the Pillar to the Apostle James on this very spot.
